Cultural Heritage Funds of Germany, 2007-2008, for the Renovation of the National Historical Archives of Guinea-Bissau

Financed by the Cultural Heritage Funds of the German Foreign Office with a total amount of 55.000 Euro (in the years 2007 and 2008) INEP was enabled to restore the four deposit rooms of the Archives, rebuild the annexed working / reading unit, construct additional working space on the Archives veranda and renovate the roof completely, eliminating former asbestos cement containing fibres. Furthermore, solar energy units have been installed which from now on guarantee permanent ventilation and cooling of the deposits. A new central depository was set up in the protected cellar of the Library where the most important historic documents can be stored in a saver and protected environment after treatment. This grant covered the expenses of a basic physical rehabilitation of the Archives.

 

 

Fundos Culturais de Alemanha para renovação dos Arquivos

As infra-estruturas dos Arquivos foram reabilitadas e melhoradas nos anos 2007 e 2008 por fundos culturais da Aleanha (55.000€), nomeadamente: construção de sala de trabalho e espaços para a arrumação, renovação dos depósitos, reabilitação básica da rede eléctrica, pequeno parco de paneis solares, telhado completamente renovado.
